Recipe

3 cl dark rum
2 cl white curaçao
1.5 cl lime juice
1 cl raspberry syrup
0.5 cl simple syrup
How to make
Technique: shaker / Glass: cup / Type: short drink (7cl) / Time: 5 mn

Shake all the ingredients with a few ice cubes.

History
The recipe for the White Lion cocktail, appeared in 1862 in "Bartenders Guide: How to mix drinks" by Jerry Thomas, in this original 1862 recipe Jerry Thomas called for using Santa Cruz rum.
This recipe is the final version of the White Lion published by Jerry Thomas in 1887 in the 3rd edition of the same book, unlike the original recipe, the cocktail is finally served without crushed ice in a cocktail glass and without red fruits as decoration .
