History
The Blue Mojito cocktail was created in the 2010s by Michaël Crespin, a French bartender who has worked in bars in Touraine and Vendée.
The blue Curaçao which comes to invite itself in this variation of the famous mojito not only gives the cocktail a very beautiful blue color, but also adds a delicate flavor of orange peel to the original mojitos.
Michaël Crespin about the Blue Mojito: ❝Just like the real Mojito, the biggest mistake not to make is to crush the lime wedges at the same time as the mint, it's something that we see unfortunately too often. The original recipe calls for crushing only the mint in lime juice to best diffuse the aromas. Furthermore, I prefer to use simple syrup instead of sugar for better homogeneity.❞
