6 cl Port wine
1 egg
2 cl simple syrup
grated nutmeg
How to make

Shake the Port wine, egg and simple syrup with a few ice cubes.

The Port Wine Flip has its roots in flips, a family of cocktails that dates back to the 1600s, when hot drinks made with beer, sugar, and egg were common in England and the United States. However, the modern version of the Port Wine Flip, which uses port instead of beer, appeared later, probably in the 19th century, in the grand bars of Europe.
