3 cl vermouth rosso
1 cl Fernet-Branca

How to make

  1. Fill a mixing glass halfway with ice cubes.

  2. Pour in the gin, vermouth rosso and Fernet-Branca.

  3. Stir with a mixing spoon until cooled.

  4. Strain into a glass then garnish with orange zest.

History

The Hanky ​​Panky is a short drink made with gin, red vermouth and Fernet-Branca, it was created at the American Bar of the Savoy Hotel in London by head bartender Ada Coleman, then published a little later in 1930 in The Savoy Cocktail Book written by one of the bartenders of the establishment Harry Craddock.
