3 cl gin
3 cl vermouth rosso
1 cl Fernet-Branca

Fill a mixing glass halfway with ice cubes.

Pour in the gin, vermouth rosso and Fernet-Branca.

Stir with a mixing spoon until cooled.

Strain into a glass then garnish with orange zest.
History
The Hanky Panky is a short drink made with gin, red vermouth and Fernet-Branca, it was created at the American Bar of the Savoy Hotel in London by head bartender Ada Coleman, then published a little later in 1930 in The Savoy Cocktail Book written by one of the bartenders of the establishment Harry Craddock.
