History

Ti Punch is the abbreviation of Petit Punch, it is a very simple cocktail to make which dates back to the 18th century, at the time of the weeding of sugar cane.

Ti Punch is also known as CRS (Lemon Rum Sugar) or SEC (because the rum is pure). According to the time at which the men who weeded the canes granted themselves a Ti-Punch, the latter took the name of Ti-Feu, Ti-Lagoutte, The Hour Of Christ or Pété-Pied.

The Ti Punch is made with agricultural rum. Unlike traditional rum which is made only from the molasses of sugar cane, rhum agricole is made from the whole cane.
