About
The Red Lion was invented by Arthur Tarling, a London bartender working at the Café Royal. In 1933, he entered a cocktail competition organized by the United Kingdom Bartenders Guild (UKBG) and won first prize with this creation. Its success contributed to its recognition and inclusion in many collections of classic cocktails.
