Derby cocktail: a perfect alliance between Bourbon and Benedictine.
Recipe
For 1 person
6 cl Bourbon whiskey
1 cl Bénédictine
1 dash of Angostura Bitter
How to make
👉 mixing glass / 🥃 martini / 🍸 short drink (7cl) / ⏱️ 3 mn

Put a few ice cubes, the Bourbon, the Bénédictine and the Angostura Bitter in a mixing glass.

Mix with a mixing spoon.

Strain into a martini glass.

Flute a lemon zest for decoration.
History
The Derby cocktail has several totally different recipes under the same name. In 1947 Trader Vic publishes "Bartender's Guide" in which there are no less than 3 "Derby" recipes. We have chosen this recipe which honors a benedictine with great potential and often forgotten, here married with bourbon and angostura bitters.
