Shake the dark rum, Cointreau and single cream with a few ice cubes.

History
The Ménage à Trois cocktail (which means threesome) is composed, as its name suggests, of 3 ingredients: rum, triple sec and single cream in equal parts. "Threesomes" are generally made with dark rum but nothing prevents them from being made with white rum.
This recipe is known by this French term even abroad, which would make us think that it would be of French origin, but unfortunately without further information.
