5 cl gin
1 tsp sugar
5 to 7 fresh mint leaves
How to make

Directly in a glass, muddle the mint with the powdered sugar and 1 or 2 teaspoons of water.

Fill the glass with crushed ice then pour in the gin.

History
The Gin Julep cocktail is part of the family of "juleps" whose consumption dates back to the 17th or 18th century, the most famous cocktail of this family is the Mint Julep. Gin Julep was first published in "Bartenders Guide: How to mix drinks" in 1862 by Jerry Thomas.
