The Brandy Cocktail is a short drink composed of brandy, curaçao, sugar syrup and aromatic bitters, it was published in 1862 in "Bar-tenders Guide: How to mix drinks" by Jerry Thomas.

Remember that before being the very general term we know today, a “cocktail” previously designated a very specific drink composed of alcohol, sugar and bitters. The Brandy Cockail is enriched with an extra dash of curaçao, indeed Jerry Thomas really liked working with this product and this is how he published it in 1862.
