History
The Blue Hawaiian cocktail is a variation of the Pina Colada and is made in the same way in a blender. It's a very simple recipe, the proportions are always 1 part rum + 1 part blue Curaçao + 1 part coconut cream + 2 parts pineapple juice.
Its inventor would probably be Don the Beachcomber (also nicknamed "Donn Beach", Ernest Raymond Beaumont Gantt of his real name - 1907-1989). He was the founder of many restaurants, bars and clubs.
