Sherry Egg Nogg
Sherry Egg Nogg: a cocktail that celebrates the famous Andalusian sherry wine.

Recipe

For 1 person
1 egg yolk
1,5 tsp sugar
6 cl sherry wine
5 cl milk
1 pinch grated/powdered nutmeg

How to make

Technique: shaker / Glass: highball / Type: long drink (15cl) / Time: 4 mn
  1. Dissolve the powdered sugar in the shaker with a little water using a mixing spoon.

  2. Put the egg yolk in the shaker and stir again.

  3. Add the ice cubes, sherry and milk then shake.

  4. Strain into the glass.

  5. Sprinkle grated nutmeg over the cocktail.

History

The Sherry Egg Nogg cocktail is a variant of the great classic Egg Nogg cocktail, it appeared for the first time in 1862 in "How to mix drinks" by Jerry Thomas. Sherry is a white wine originating from the Andalusia region.
