History
The Bijou Cocktail is a short drink made with gin, Grand Marnier and red vermouth, it was first published in a cocktail book in 1895, it was "The Mixicologist" written by C.F. Lawlor, an American bartender who worked in Cincinnati (Ohio, USA).
* The Grand Marnier that this original recipe contained was often replaced by green Chartreuse from the beginning of the 20th century, notably by bartenders Harry Johnson, Jacques Straub and Robert Vermeire. It's up to you to use what you prefer, Grand Marnier or green Chartreuse...
