Paper Plane: a new classic cocktail that celebrates the Amaro.

Recipe

For 1 person
2 cl Bourbon whiskey
2 cl Amaro (Amaro Nonino...)
2 cl Aperol
2 cl lemon juice

How to make

👉 shaker / 🥃 martini / 🍸 short drink (8cl) / ⏱️ 5 mn
  1. Shake the bourbon whiskey, Amaro Nonino, Aperol and lemon juice with a few ice cubes.

  2. Strain into a martini glass.

History

The Paper Plane cocktail is classified among the new modern classic cocktails of the IBA (International Bartender Association), composed of Aperol it is to be consumed as an aperitif.

The Paper Plane was created in 2007 by Sam Ross, bartender at the Milk&Honey Bar in New York. Sam Ross named his cocktail after the song by M.I.A. "Paper planes" that looped while creating this recipe.

Little used in cocktails, Amaro Nonino is a slightly bitter liqueur made from herbs and spices.
