About

The Alamo Splash has its roots in the vibrant landscapes of Texas, a state known for its diverse cultural influences, blending American and Mexican traditions. While the exact origins of this cocktail are unclear, it seems to have emerged in the shadows of Texas bars in the 1990s, where people were looking to recreate a refreshing and bold experience that could pair perfectly with the region’s warm and sunny climate.

The name of the cocktail, Alamo Splash, is likely a nod to the famous Alamo in San Antonio, an important symbol of Texas history and the spirit of independence and resistance of the time. The name evokes both Texan pride and the energy of historic battles, while also referencing a vibrant blend of flavors, like a refreshing “splash.” This designation reinforces the image of a bold and invigorating cocktail.
