Casino: a very dry cocktail that gives pride of place to Old Tom Gin.
Recipe
For 1 person
4 cl Old Tom Gin
1 cl Maraschino
1 cl lemon juice
2 dashes Orange bitter
How to make
Technique: shaker / Glass: martini / Type: short drink (7cl) / Time: 4 mn

Shake the Old Tom Gin, maraschino, lemon juice and Orange bitters with a few ice cubes.

Strain into a martini glass.

Insert a maraschino cherry.
History
The Casino cocktail was first published in 1916 in "Recipes for Mixed Drinks" by Hugo R. Ensslin, then in 1930 in "The Savoy Cocktail Book" by Harry Craddock. In these first two publications, the Casino cocktail is made with a specific gin: the "Old Tom Gin".
