3 cl gin
3 cl vermouth bianco
1 cl Kummel liqueur
How to make
Technique: mixing glass / Glass: martini / Type: short drink (7cl) / Time: 3 mn

Place gin, vermouth bianco and Kummel liqueur in a mixing glass half filled with ice cubes.

Stir with a mixing spoon.

Strain into a martini glass.
History
The recipe for the Allies cocktail first appeared in 1916 in "Recipes for mixed drinks" by Hugo Ensslin. The recipe has never changed, it has always been composed of gin, dry vermouth and above all a dash of Kummel.
The Kummel, which has always made this cocktail so charming, is a liqueur made mainly from caraway (also called cumin from the meadows), spices and herbs.
