History
The Bishop is a hot cocktail dating back several centuries, also called "Spiced Wine" or "English Bishop" since this recipe is the English version. Indeed there is another version of Bishop where the port is replaced by rum and red wine.
This recipe is the quick version of the Bishop, because the traditional recipe consists of roasting an orange planted with cloves then simmering it with the other ingredients.
Professionals will be able to heat the Bishop directly in the glass using the steam nozzle of the coffee machines.
