Recipe
For 1 person
6 cl brandy
1.5 cl squeezed lemon juice
1.5 cl simple syrup
How to make

Shake the brandy, lemon juice and simple syrup with a few ice cubes.

Strain into the glass.

Garnish with half slices of lemon/orange and berries.
History
The Brandy Sour is a cocktail made of brandy, lemon juice and sugar, it first appeared in 1862 in Jerry Thomas' "Bar-tenders Guide".
Later in 1922 in his book "Cocktails: How to mix them", Robert Vermeire in turn published the recipe for the Brandy Sour and added a few drops of egg white explaining that this could improve the cocktail.
