Brandy Julep: a cocktail from the julep family in a digestive version.
Recipe
For 1 person
5 cl brandy
1 tsp sugar
5 to 7 fresh mint leaves
How to make
👉 straight to the glass / 🥃 old-fashioned / 🍸 short drink (7cl) / ⏱️ 4 mn

Directly in the glass, muddle the mint with the sugar and 1 or 2 teaspoons of water.

Fill the glass with crushed ice then pour in the brandy.

Stir gently with a mixing spoon.

Insert a sprig of mint.
History
The Brandy Julep cocktail is part of the family of "juleps" whose consumption dates back to the 17th or 18th century and whose most famous cocktail is the Mint Julep. Brandy Julep was first published under this name in 1862 in "How to mix drinks" by Jerry Thomas.
