History

This Corpse Reviver no. 2 recipe was published by the famous English bartender Harry Craddock in 1930 in "The Savoy Cocktail Book", it is an absolutely different version of the Original Corpse Reviver published in the 1870s, but this is the version that has become the most famous and today classified as a classic cocktail by the IBA (international bartender association).

Harry Craddock comments in his book "Four of this taken in swift succession will unrevive the corpse again".

Note that the recipe originally called for using Kina Lillet, which has now disappeared and has therefore been replaced by white Lillet.
