2 cl Bénédictine
2 cl brandy (Cognac...)
3 dashes Angostura Bitters

  1. Add white curaçao, Bénédictine, brandy and Angostura bitters directly into the glass.

  2. Stir with a mixing spoon.

History

The Brandy Champerelle cocktail was first published in 1862 in "Bar-tenders Guide: How to mix drinks" by Jerry Thomas, who specifies that it is a French cocktail. This recipe is the final version published in 1887 in the 3rd edition of the same book.
